Description
According to Barnes Village website, Barnes pond is the quintessential Barnes landmark. It is the centre of the village and feeding the ducks on the pond has been a rite of passage for many Barnes childhoods. The pond is maintained using funds raised by the Barnes Community Association’s annual Barnes Fair and is the home to many breeding pairs of birds.
Rod Pearce is quite well known for painting local paintings around Barnes and other areas further afield. The ‘Barnes Pond’ painting captures famous The Sun Inn pub, Sun Inn flowers and Barnes High Street.
