Our new exhibition, ‘Riverside Story’, opens this week. We will be presenting new work
from two of our fantastic gallery artists, Nadia Day and Jennifer Greenland. The show will
comprise Nadia’s bright, energetic acrylic landscapes, and Jennifer’s plein-air oil paintings of
the Thames between Teddington and Putney. Two different approaches to depicting our
beloved riverside and multiple famous views for you to recognize and enjoy!
The show runs from Monday 24th June – 6th July.
There will be an opportunity to meet and chat with both artists at our
late opening event on Thursday 27th June, 6 – 9pm.
The exhibition can be seen online by clicking the link below. Please enquire if interested in
any of the work.
Jennifer studied painting at The Art Academy in London
from 2010 to 2012, and since that time has continued her
practise primarily painting landscapes in oils.
Jennifer likes to work from life as much as possible,
aiming to capture a feeling of the moment as well as a
recognisable representation of a place. She seeks to create
work that reflects the mood of the day and season.
The majority of this collection of work was created during
the winter months leading to its muted, subtle colour palette.
Nadia is an Impressionist artist, painting from her studios in the Richmond area and in coastal Emsworth. She paints views of nature, with her trademark big British skies. Nadia paints full time, creating work for galleries and shows, plus a new commission each fortnight for private clients. This diligent practice enables her to work on her craft each day, pushing herself to experiment and challenge her style.
She studied art at Kingston University and gained a BA in Drama & Theatre Arts from Birmingham University.
